Infusion Day Views

Bumbled on to the 9:30 boat absolutely loaded for carpentry. Only spot for D was in S's lap. Into lowest level parking at SCCA, level D, early for first procedure so climbed to the surface and into the rain to walk the dog. Later S left D and I down there and headed for SAM.

Travis, the blood drawer and IV port maker, made a ballet of his job and I told him it could be set to music, something fast and precise, staccato. Way up to ethereal 7th floor to chat with tiny woman provider who I chatted with last time noting that her shoes didn't reach the floor although she seemed larger this time. Thinking maybe the pembro is affecting my cognitivity or maybe it was the altitude.

Back down to 4th for the nutritionist. She was wound pretty tight but short and to the point on recommendations - more liquid and vitamin D3 1000 mg daily cause the latter has been shown to benefit colon cancer victims and the former should make a person feel better generally.

Finally the infusion was mixed and dripped into me in a very acceptable corner room with floor to ceiling windows on the otherwise less desirable 4th administered by nurse Havi formerly of the central Chilean coast and an interim time in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She feels at home here in the northwest because her former home in Chile was the southern hemisphere version of the American northwest. At any rate the heated vibrating recliner and the friendly Chilean made the whole thing very pleasant if not as comical as last time.

Met with Charlie C recommended carpenter and may have reached a plan/solution/deal but not exactly clear as to what and when due to language/terminology/opinion issues and besides when actually looking at the stairs it appeared that other than a slight tilt there was nothing fundamentally wrong with them. So I think we agreed that replacing the bannisters and painting would do it.

Rained pretty much all day and D and I got pretty wet on out forays into the light between procedures but really the day would have to be at least a B+. Probably would have been A- except for the soggy pizza at Tutta Bella down on Rainier.
